Description
Acrylic painting
-
The Golden Sun: At the top center, a large sun is rendered with a pale yellow smooth core. Its rays are created using a thick, heavily textured gold paste that gives the sun a rugged, three-dimensional relief effect.
-
The Horizon Line: A solid gold horizontal band sits at the lower third of the canvas. The top edge of this band is slightly wavy, suggesting a distant terrain or sea. Below this line, thin vertical bars of gold create a repetitive, cage-like pattern before transitioning into drips.
-
Dripping Effect: Mirroring the other works in the series, long, vertical streaks of metallic gold paint drip from the horizon toward the bottom of the canvas, evoking a sense of “melting” or falling light.
-
The Birds: To the upper left of the sun, a small flock of black birds is sketched in flight, providing a sense of scale and life to the otherwise ethereal scene.
